Omosako Update
October 15, 2009
There has been an air of excitement at the Omosako Farm in Hiroshima ever since the two year old offspring of "Zebra" were harvested last week. Omosako began using "Zebra" in 2008 and had been very happy with the resulting Tosai (yearlings), but one can never be quite sure of the viability of the offspring of an unproved parent koi until said offspring reach the two year old mark.
The "Zebra" two year olds feature massive bodies, classic patterns and the signature Omosako Sumi, another triumph for the Omosako Farm.
Pan Intercorp is honored to have had the first pick of this breeding and will be featuring a number of these beauties in the "Sales" section of Koi.com.
Just one day after harvesting the two year olds, Mr. Omosako was busy making the fourth selection of this year's crop of "Zebra" Shiro Utsuri, many of which are already over six inches long. These Tosai will be available to our clients in December, after they have been immunized.
Check out some of the awesome Omosako bred Zebra Shiro Utsuri now available: Click Here.

All Japan Show Grand Champion!
January 3, 2009

Date: January 31, 2008
Post by: Zak Schmidt
This evening around 6:30pm pacific time, I received an excited phone call shouting...Andrew "Flip" Filipowski's "Alexandria" Kohaku, had done it! Made history once again!
All Japan Show Grand Champion!
After making history by taking consecutive Kokugyo Prizes in 2006 and 2007, Alexandria was moved up to the most competitive size division in the All Japan Show for 2008...90bu. Although she faced stiff competition from a massive Dainichi Showa, when all the votes were counted Flips Kohaku came out the hands down favorite.
Today's honors mark the first time ever that an American-owned koi has been granted the title "Grand Champion" of the biggest koi show in the world...the All Japan Combined Koi Show.
Pan Intercorp proudly congratulates Flip on this amazing achievement and is grateful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this historical event.
Congratulations Flip! From all of us at Pan Intercorp.
