Sakura Young Koi Show Baby Grand Champion 2007

Jim Smith wowed the crowd and the Judges at the Sakura Young Koi Show with his Sakai Kohaku that took Baby Grand Champion.

AKCA Judge Bob Winkler commented that this koi has everything that one could desire in a Kohaku and that one could expect this koi to retain these characteristics as it matures. Head Judge Chai Taevanitcharoen commented that this was his favorite Kohaku in the Show, which just goes to show that Jim has a very discriminating eye.

Jim says that he was a little nervous at first as this was the first time that he had bought a koi based on a photograph, and it was his first time to purchase from the Internet Koi Auction at Nishikigoi.com.....but he was all smiles when he accepted his trophy for Baby Grand Champion!
