The Filter before the Filter - A Solids capture and removal is one of the most important functions of any filtration system. By exposing the free floating algae spores to high levels of UV radiation, an Ultraviolet light will cause algae to flocculate or stick together and ultimately the spores become dense enough to be removed by a standard filter system.
